DAY 01 : AIRPORT – HOTEL / MAKASSAR …………….. D
On arrival at Hasanuddin airport of Makassar, our guide meet and take you to the hotel in Makassar. If the Time permit, Makassar city tour by visiting; Paotere Old harbor to see the typical Phinisi-Perahu, Fort Rotterdam, Losari Sunset Tour. Dinner at local restaurant.
DAY 02 : MAKASSAR – BIRA ……………………..…….. B.L.D
Breakfast at hotel. Drive directly to Bira by coach through Bugis villages and the misty blue mountain of Bawakaraeng, a distance of 198 Km full of fascinating sites. Stop to view sailing boat construction. Lunch will be served at simple local restaurant, in the afternoon arrive at Bira, and check-in at your hotel. Relaxing and enjoy the white sandy beach in Bira. Dinner at hotel.
DAY 03 : BIRA TOUR …………………..…….. B.L.D
Breakfast at hotel, by traditional boat to the small island for swimming or snorkelling. Lunch on board. Afternoon back to the hotel and dinner.
DAY 04 : BIRA – SENGKANG ………….………..… B. L. D
Breakfast at hotel. Leave for Sengkang the centre of Buginese silk weaving. Lunch en route Afternoon arrive in Sengkang. Explore Lake TEMPE by canoe where we can see the daily activities of local people take care their salty fish who set up their floating house on the lake. Visit the traditional silk weaving/ SARUNG SUTERA. Check in at Pondok Eka hotel / simple Accommodation – the best in the area. Dinner will be served at local restaurant.
DAY 05 : SENGKANG – TORAJA …………….……… B. L. D
After breakfast, drive to Toraja via Palopo where we can see the oldest mosque of Sulawesi. Visit the fisherman villages of Bajo-Palopo and lunch local restaurant / en route. Drive up to Torajaland through the rainforest of Kattun with mountain panoramas. Late afternoon arrive in Torajaland. Check in at hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 06 : TORAJA EXCURSION …………..……………. B.L.D
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be taken for a full day visit to the ancient stone graves of Lemo, Marante, and Londa. Where the bodies of the dead are displayed in animistic rituals that are still performed to days as they have been for centuries. At Ke’te kesu village you will find traditional Toraja houses which roofs are designed in the shape of boats or buffalo-saddled to mean a vehicle to send the spirit to heaven. Meals are provided.
DAY 07 : TORAJA – PARE PARE – AIRPORT…………..……………. B.L.
After early breakfast, we ought to leave Toraja,. Your trip down from the mountain with a refreshment stop at Puncak Lakawan and lunch in Pare. Continue drive to Makassar, arrive in Makassar and check hotel.
